I have just received my chameleon yesterday. I thought he was doing very weep. He came right out of the deli cup and went exploring his cage. I found him through the day in different spots of the cage. I put a few crickets in a cup and he has not touched any of them. Should I be moving the food cup all around the cage? Or should I just leave it where's it's at and he will find the food? Any advice is great I would like to have him def eat today!
Thanks

You can just let the crickets loose and let him eat them that way. I assume you have no substrate in your cage where they can easily hide? I never cup fed my chameleon when he was young and he always found his found his food just great. I dumped the crickets to the bottom of the cage and they run right up the screen towards the lights. Give it a try. Cup feeding is fine also, and he might just need time to adjust before he eats, cup or not.

I totally agree with Carol and would like to add just make sure the crickets aren't to big for you cham. How old is he and what size cage do you have him in?

He's about 3ish months old about 4 inches long. He actually ate like 3 or 4 crickets this morning out of the cup. I just had to show him want was in there and as soon as I left the room he went right for them.

If the breeder didn't feed him that way I wouldn't be surprised he doesn't understand. Give him a few days to get use to his new home too.
