I have had my guy for 2ish months now and he still won't hand feed for me. He is very aggressive so I want to tame him. When try and had feed he will look at it but wont go for it even if I skip a day of feeding. I use a cup to dust my crickets in and for the pass 2 days he will eat a cricket out of the cup when I hold it. Is this kind of like hand feeding and it get him to trust me. Can any one give me tips to get him to hand feed. He is a 5.5 month old male panther

hand feeding

It's a start, but I think you should move to your hand while he is still young. It takes them a few minutes to get it together before they go for it. Put the food between your fingers so it doesn't leave your hand, but can still wiggle it's legs or something. Good luck.

I always try first with my hands but when he won't i do the cup and then just throw them in. I guess I just have to try every single day and see of he will. Let's hope it will change

That's what I am doing with my little guy! since I have gotten him I usually just throw some crickets in the cage and put a few worms in a dish, he loves worms, but just like yours my little guy is aggressive as well, he is under 3 months old and I am trying to tame him. Usually he hates when I get near him and will run but I have found today that if there is food involved he lets me touch him without hissing or puffing up and getting his angry colors on! Keep trying :)

My cham also hisses and snaps when I try to hand feed him. I think it's something you have to be persistent about, so that he has time to start trusting you. Do it with his favorite foods, too. However, if it really seems to be going nowhere and stressing the chameleon out every day, there's a certain point where you might have to accept he's just not a handleable chameleon. Still awesome to look at! :D
