So I got a bunch of feeders in the mail today for my jacksons chameleon... I got 10 hornworms , 25 silkworms , 25 butterworms and 100 repti worms and I also have crickets available and roaches that he won't eat... He has been eating crickets and superworms that I have still but I want to make his diet mainly the worms and crickets he won't eat te roaches I got him to eat one and that was it.

If anyone can tell me what the correct amount for each would he I don't want to give him too much worms if that causes him to have a bad diet ... And also do I have to dust all the worms? I have been dusting roaches crickets and the superworms with calcium without d 3 so far .

Anything else helps !!!

Hello. As for the dusting portion of your question, the care sheet I was referred to view is https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/hoj/634-montane-chameleon-care-info.html His blog contains different dusting options, many references will state that supplementing Jackson's can be tricky as we don't want to over-supplement one. As for the feeder question, I have seen quite a few answers when doing research. Mostly I think I've read crickets (properly gutloaded) are a good staple feeder for chams. But, many people and resources will probably also notate how chams can easily bore of one type of feeder. I personally try to offer my Jackson, Drake, different items every week along with crickets. I really haven't seen him eat crickets lately. But, I haven't really found any lying around either. As far as what I've read for example in this link as well https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/jacksons/ Everything you are offering seems fine (again properly gutloaded) I would just monitor his habits and try to alternate feeders if he seems like he's going on a hunger strike. I've only had my Jackson for a month, but previously having owned a Fischer, both species can have their picky moments. :)
