also the water was clean this morning! I had emptied and refilled it right before I left to get her some feeder insects

I'm sorry but I have no idea. :( If it came out of either end of the chameleon though I would say it's not good and if it's from the waterfall it's not good either IMHO.
I would recommend removing the waterfall from the cage though. It may be making your chameleon sick.

Are you feeding lots of hornworms?

I only just now gave her hornworms. She ate them well so I’m beginning to think that stuff is mold. I also saw that her waste looked normal as ever She had a couple the other day but usually she eats dubia roaches, mealworms and superworms since I like trying to give her a diverse diet.

It looks like diarrhea to me. I'd remove the waterfall all together though. Keep an eye on her. Next time she produces a fecal id save it and run it to a vet for a fecal exam just to be safe though. Could be internal parasites, could be too much hornworms.

okay, thank you for the help! I’ll make sure to lay off on the hornworms for a bit and keep an eye on her.

I made the mistake of giving a male veiled too many hornworms and got a nice mess to clean because of it. Hornworms are great for hydration but too many can cause loose stools. I'd recommend maybe 1 or 2 a week tops.

yeah they’re great for hydration which is why I gave them to her. She was a bit dehydrated and I wanted to give her food that could help with it. I guess you’re right and it was a bit too much! Also It does look like its coming out of the fountain itself, which is concerning either way

Yup yup. Looks like a watery poop to me. There is such a thing as over hydrated. Try to spread out when you feed the hornworms like 2 every 2-3 days.

Also this is a prime reason why waterfalls are not recommended. If your cham drank that water before you had a chance to clean it they'd be in big doo-doo, literally.
