now this isnt majorly ergent as i have bought a male furcifer verrucosus and a male furcifer oustaleti and these are both still juvenile so still quite small:) but i was wondering as adults what would be a good size cage /vivarium for each one and also does anyone know how to find out the locality of the oustalets:D

Well, I don't have either, but have read that Oustalets can be longest Chameleons that they know of. Sometimes, there are exceptions. But, I'd say a either a 24X24X48, or like a 24X24X36 maybe. Like I said, I don't have either, but the 24X24X48 would be your best bet.
EDIT: Where did you get these guys?

to be honest i think those sizes are a bit small i was thinking at least 4x3x2 up to a 6x2.5x2.5:D but i was asking coz im not sure. also im in the uk so i dont think there is much point of sharing the info of where i have bought them from ;)

When I've had Oustalets I've kept the adults in 6 foot tall cages. They do like to move around a lot and do actively hunt. The verrucosus I've had and seen were about the same size as adult panthers so I think smaller cages would be ok. As for the locality of the Oustalet's, you'll probably have to wait until they're older for more color, scalation, and size definition. Even then, it would be more of a regional approximation (e.g., NW Madagascar) than actual "locality," imo.

I keep a male Verrucosus outside for most on the year in a 7x7x7 enclosure. Sometimes I don't see him for days in the jungle I've made. He's indoors right now for winter in a 16x16x30 and doing good in this space. He's very calm and maybe a little more secure in the small space. In the big enclosure he loves to hide, and only moves for food and sunshine/shade. Here's a picture of him from two summers ago.

The Chameleons of Madagascar Video/CD gives infomation on there range. Widespead throughout the drier parts of the island.
