HELP! i dont know whats wrong :(

My chameleon bubba has sores on his mouth! i dont know what to do, i cant really afford the vet right now but if i have to go ill take him right away.

I noticed he hadnt been eating the past few days and it kinda worried me but it wasent anything super strange(hes a very irregular eater) but now his jaw and lips are swollen and he has these red scabs growing on the side of his mouth.

I noticed the front of his lip seemed puffy yesterday but today it got really bad. He wont drink, he hasent drank in almost three days and he usually drinks almost every other day.

im really scared, please help!

I would recommend the vet. Mouth injuries get infected and can get out of hand quickly. That looks very open, so infection could get into his blood and spread. I would get a handle on this quickly. Some of the senior members may have a few other options, but I would be heading for the vet. Good luck!

Yes, he needs to go to a herp vet. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it. =/ I hope he gets better.

For the time being take some ointment and put it one there... A lot of human antibiotic ointments are okay... To be safe try Neosporin... Should help until the vet visit... alright thanks, he just ate a cricket and when i saw into his mouth it looked worse.

Your chameleon seems to have an infection in the gland in the corner of its mouth. It needs to be cleaned out by a vet and a culture and sensitivity test done to determine the bacteria involved so that the chameleon can be put on the appropriate antibiotic.

just be carefull notto use the petrolium based neosporin, the gel looking kind. try and find the cream because the other kind does weird things to chameleon skin.
