I have a chameleon with a bend in his casque as well, healthy as heck, he just got too close to his light all the time and his casque was almost always touching the top of the screen!

I believe that if a chameleon is too close to heat and to the top of the screen, it will eventually cause the casque to bend.

Calcium and minerals usually come out of the nose as a white substance.

theres nothing coming from the nose so it sounds alot like urs 2 be honest..................he seems normal in every other way!!!

Still, a vet visit would be best.

Do you have any vets around you that work with chameleons?

yeah theres 1 about 20 miles away il give them a call 1st thing and take it from there...........thx for ur help

Leeg- Any update? Were you able to get in with the vet? Also, how old are those full body photos...as the bent casque is not present in those images? When did the red lesion appear?

taken the same time the casque bends the other way...............i cant get him to the vet till saturday morning

my cham has a bend in his casque as well and is healthy otherwise! im the second to say that

ditto with the bent casque.Mista has a slight bend to the right,i was worried about it at first but the vet assured me he was fine.hopefully the lump is a burn that will heal.good luck with the vet visit on saturday.

whats the best to apply to it 2 stop any infection?

Looks like a burn to me, if you look at his back left knee and the spikes on his back, looks as if a burn was starting there as well.

vet seems to think its a burn 2 he just said it would heal in time any recommendations on wha to put on to help the healing and stop infection (dont think the vet was interested to be honest wasnt very helpful at all)
