Hello the names junkinjay, recently I was given a Veiled Chameleon from my sister-in-law. Seems my niece and her boyfriend left this poor little guy in a bird cage with no UV or basking light and no instructions on how to take care of him. My sister-in-law felt sorry and decided to feed him lettuce and celery hoping the owners would come back and take the lil guy. No such luck, so he was given to me and my family. I've never had a Chameleon (always wanted one) I have had Iguanas, snakes, and a pair of Sudan Plated lizards years ago. I'm very thankful for this forum, I've been reading posts and learning so much useful information. So far I have him in a temporary habitat with a UV and basking bulb, along with a ficus plant and he seems to be enjoying it. Watching him eat crickets & mealworms has become a family event, no more lettuce and celery for this lil guy.
