So i got my starter colony... very creepy.. but my fiance is spastic about fire hazards. So wats the safest most efficent way to heat a rubbermaid tub?

If it's fairly warm in Washington right now, you could place them in the garage. Or cut a whole in the lid, screen it and use a red light on top to keep 'em warm. Not a white light, they like the darkness.![]()
Room temps would probably slow them down considerably. It'll be awhile before you cross that bridge!Yes, stick the pad underneath the bin on one side, where the egg crates are. Leave the food side unheated. This works best for me.

I put mine on top of the many cable boxes I have in the house. Heats them up quite well and I don't have to spend any extra on electricity. If you use Verizon, their cable boxes work wonders.
