So i got my starter colony... very creepy.. but my fiance is spastic about fire hazards. So wats the safest most efficent way to heat a rubbermaid tub?

Adjustable heat pad eh? Where do I find his? do u put it on the side? bottom? Inside? Thanks :) I was reluctant to post yet another dubia thread as they seem to be popular right now.. but rreally wanted input on this particular subject ::) so thanks!

If it's fairly warm in Washington right now, you could place them in the garage. Or cut a whole in the lid, screen it and use a red light on top to keep 'em warm. Not a white light, they like the darkness. :)

Thank u sir giver if my dubias :) Washington is of proper temps 2 months out of the year maximum... This is not that month lol.. i was gonna shy away from lights for my fiance belives I have enough lights to burn down the amazon let alone our house.
:) I like the hest pad idea just where to put it i guess is Wats left

On a side note.. when my population reaches a good point can i take a way hest to slow breeding? Whats the lowest temp range they can they live happily?

I put my pad under the bin.

and i got it from jonrich, but i think you can buy them at petsmart.

Room temps would probably slow them down considerably. It'll be awhile before you cross that bridge! ;) Yes, stick the pad underneath the bin on one side, where the egg crates are. Leave the food side unheated. This works best for me. :)

*edit Good thing I'm not a car salesman! You would have left the lot not knowing how to drive and operate the car! :D
*edit edit You're making me look bad, Smalls! ;)

Haha no no u gave me all I need to know im just exploring other options and variations lol

I put mine on top of the many cable boxes I have in the house. Heats them up quite well and I don't have to spend any extra on electricity. If you use Verizon, their cable boxes work wonders.
