Heathed Drainage bin?

Soo...
I have a drainagebin under my enclosures and need to empty it every day or else it will overflow.
I've notices that the water bin would evaporate a lot more when the air in the house was dryer...
So now I came to the idea to place a heatmat/heatcable under the drainage-bin helping the evaporation and in return increase humidity in the room.

I think this could help a lot with humidity without needing a humidifier, especially in dryer regions.
On top of that it leaves you with less water to discard of so a bit less maintenance.

Any reason why I should not put this genius of an idea in to practice?
(Yes, even rocket-scientists oversee a detail sometimes!)

The only thing I can think of its ur electric bill, other than that just make sure the water and the heatmat dont come in the contact and cause a electric hazard.
Otherwise its a clever idea if all thing works out in ur advantage.

Only downside I see is that heated water might grow more bacteria faster. Depends how often you empty it.
Don't drink it.:coffee:
