I live in pa where the weather can get really cold during winter. I know most people say no to a heat lamp at night becuz chams need temp drops but my room can get really cold because my heater does not always work right. My only other choice is to move my chameleon down stairs during winter so it will get the heat from the fire place which still could have light from flames!

Moon glow!

Has anyone used moon glow bulbs?? I wouldn't think it would hurt cuz chams cuz at night in the wild they see moon light right?

i just turn my house thermostat up usually works. Make sure no drafts. Gets chilly in Cleveland. Id imagine your moonlights could work but really no point. Your chams actually put up with a lot more than people give them credit for.

I wouldn't use anything that makes light. If your house gets so cold at night that your family members pull robes on before going to the bathroom, then yes, you probably want to provide additional heat (I remember visiting my Grandma in Louisiana in the winter and they didn't run the room heaters at night so it was positively frigid). But, if you and your family can get up and use the restroom or go to the kitchen for a glass of water after 8pm, without putting additional clothing on, it's probably warm enough for your chameleon.
