heard of this lizard before?

I emailed about a lizard on my local craigslist. They said its called a black scaled african lizard. I googled to get more info about it but nothing comes up under that name.
I even looked thru classifieds on kingsnake and didn't see anything listed as that.
I have asked for a pic.
Any ideas?

Ask for a species name. If they don't no what name it is then chances are that they did not care for it well, and it might be sick, injured, or other problems that come with incompetence.

Yep the Huntsville one is it. They suppose to send me a pic. Have a feeling its in bad shape. When I ask if it had light they said yes 75watt incadesant. Have had it 1 1/2 yrs. Bet its got MBD!

Maybe it's this type of plated lizard.

I have one and they are very shy with sharp claws.
