He was not happy

I took chance outside for the first time it was in the high 60s almost 70 and he was not happy at all. Never seen him so dark ever

I didn't even think about that I just thought dark was bad

That could have been it.. how long was he out? Cuz my guy brightened up like crazy after 10 min or so.

I didn't stay out there but like 5 min bc I thought he was mad he opened his mouth real big to he didn't hiss but it scared me. I didn't want to stress him out

I think he was turning dark to absorb heat from the bright sun. He was enjoying himself

Well I will for sure try it again. Any clue as to why he would be opening his mouth??

Opening of the mouth especially under a heat source is a way of regulating body heat. And I think that could have been it.

I took T-Rex and lily outside while I was building a new cage.. it got 70 up here in Indiana today
