I don't think it's "normal" but I don't think it's something to worry about, his reaction atleast. I'm sure all he is doing is trying to get away from you as you said and is more of a reaction he has. I would try and put lots and lots of plants so that he has no room to fall all the way to the bottom and hurt himself. At the same time maybe putting a folded towel at the bottom so that it cushions his fall in case it happens again.![]()
Its an escape method, hes trying to get away from your hand. Completley normal![]()
thank goodnmess, glad to know hes just a wuss and not sick.![]()
Not that much of a wuss if he is gonna risk his life and freefall to get away from you.![]()
Happened to me once, I had my little Cleopatra out for her weekly weigh in and she decided I was really scary so he took a leap of faith right out of my hand..........................and into my sock drawer. Phew!
if he is doing that when he is on the ceiling don't try to grab him there, better safe then sorry.
yea, i dont plan on trying to get him out when hes on the ceiling anymore. Just wanted to make sure it was a defensive thing.
i know my baby veiled did that once and so did my panther pandora. when you put them back put them on the ground and let the climb up on the vines them selfs they both took a fall when i tried putting them on their favorite perch so i can speak from experience. lolz!!!
