Hatchrite dry?

My female panther just laid her first clutch. It's also my first clutch. I bought some Hatchrite to use for the eggs. Is it supposed to be this dry? Any help or tips would be appreciated!

I use hatchrite all the time. It does feel dry but it's fine. I don't ever add any water and I've always had great success with hatching eggs

IMO you need to add water, I have had eggs start to cave in because it was too dry, luckily after adding water they were able to be saved. I would let some drops of water drizzle down the side of the Tupperware taking special care not to get the eggs wet.

I also am hatching my first batch with Hatchrite. I added a couple ounces of water to it. It was still dry enough that when I squeezed it, no water came out of it. I t has been 22 days since they were laid and I haven't lost a single egg
