Harvey update

I posted pictures of my veiled chameleon quite a few months back and was told by many that it was a gravid female. As the months went by, no eggs were laid and the size of its stomach transformed from a bubblish, golf ball looking lump to just husky looking. These are pictures i have taken just these past 2 weeks, all opinions welcomed...

If you want to be sure that she isn't getting egg bound you may want to take her to a vet for x rays. I have found one vet in San Antonio that is comfortable with chameleons. Her name is Dr. Finkelstein she is at Mission pet emergency hospital. She does have an exotics night on Thursday nights where you can make an appointment to see her. I took one of my guys for x rays. The visit will run around $70 and x rays around $140. But in the end it might be worth it to have peace of mind. She isnt cheap, but I havent found anyone else I trust.

Also if you are still questioning whether she is a female, check the back feet for little spurs on the heels, only the males have them. You could post a picture of the back of the back feet as well.

Harvey looks like a female to me. I recommend a laying bin in her enclosure at all times. Below's a few links to help you out.
