Hardly eating...

My 6 month old male panther has stopped eating as much as he usually does, He usually has about 5-7 medium crickets a day. About 5 days ago i had a go at cup feeding him, placed 5 in there and he went straight to it and had 3 right off the bat, usually he eats alot slower, thought all was going well. But since he's lost interest in the cup, So i decided to take them out and let them roam the cage. He picked off about 2 out of the 6 in there. Ive had him on crickets for a few weeks now so thought maybe he'd like a change so i put locust in there today. He had one locust and one of the leftover crickets and thats it.
Im wondering what the problem is, he's been having about 2 a day since the cup feed attempt and his poo's seem a little smaller but still healthy, and i see him drinking more often aswell.

Maybe im just thinking about it too much, but going from 5-6 a day to 2 i thought was strange. If anyone else has encountered this or has any suggestions or ideas about what to do then lemme know! Equally if im just over thinking this then just tell me to shut up ;)

THey will start to eat less as they get older.
I had to switch my guy to a feeding every other day around the same age.
try that.

Oh really? I knew that happened but i didnt think i would have to yet! Does that mean that if he's eating less then he wont grow much more?

Ah cheers, well thats a load off my mind. Every other day it is.

no problem.
now he will be slower in his growth, it wotn be like when he was a baby and in two days he looks like he grew an inch... but hell reach full size in the next year and half or so.
