How can I tell if my baby Chameleon is happy? He is a 3 month old baby veiled chameleon. He in the process of his second shed (yay!). I have a hard time reading the expressions on his face, Haha. I believe him to be happy but is there a way to tell if he is sad or happy?
Well I know when they are mad they get puff up and hiss at you but to tell if he is happy I guess he would just be relaxed and eating good hope that helps
if he is dark (black or with black patterns) - he is not happy. And if he is eating, pooping well and is active, I'd think he is doing grand.
My baby is lime green most of the time.
happy cham:
not puffed up
front feet not tucked in
tail not curled
No black spots
Unhappy cham:
puffed up like a potato, or flat like a pancake
front feet in the air (makes them look bigger)
tail curled up (makes them look bigger)
high contrast lines and spots
I cant go by colors. I got an ouast, so brown = happy for me
