Well today I am getting a complete Chameleon setup for a new cham in the future. It is for a Jackson's Chameleon so I will be getting it probably a week or so after i get the complete setup. any tips (its a Mt. Meru Jackson's Chameleon).. btw update on Darwin.. he got to the vet. that is the most I know so i will get more info

its not for a few weeks. it my bday present from my mom when i told her no.. if i do that she would get mad... D:

and thats why i am getting a NEW setup for it.. its not here for another week or two. so if i tweek things than that would be better.

I had also wondered if that had really happened. No doubt in my mind now.

The only thing I can say is that instead of asking for tips take the next few weeks and do your research and really consider this purchase and how much money you need set aside for future vet visits, feeders etc. If you had trouble keeping a veiled healthy and happy you are going to have your hands full with a Jackson.

I don't understand why your Mum would buy you another cham when she refused to help you with the last one with feeding and vet issues. Is this going to happen again? You need to make sure that she is 100% committed to this cham as well as yourself....you need to ask her that and hold her to that committment. By 100% committed I mean she will get up at a drop of the hat and get that cham to the vet even if its at 11pm at night if its an emergency.

If she has the same attitude then don't.....please don't get it. Ask for something else for your birthday. She is just as responsible for the health and well being of this cham as you are.

I keep reading all of your posts...you are ALWAYS talking about how you can't properly care for your chameleons (feeding, vet visits, etc).

You gave your male veiled away because:

I felt as if I couldn't give him the right amount of care... I didn't have a screen cage, proper lights, and was struggling to buy food for him.

What's different now, that you think you can better care for a species of chameleon that is less "hardy" than a veiled? Sorry...I don't see this as a good idea.

hey i earlier stated he got to the vet. i no longer have Darwin. and quit harassing me please and thank you and i don't take lightly to you saying that im a troll.
also i don't see it as mean you speak your mind. we have that freedom so why not use it? i don't care anymore.

I completely agree with you on this. My mom doesn't like to help me out when it comes to my animals. I don't know why she would think differently... probably because its my bday? not for sure. i've gotten the setup today, just need the lights i've been doing research on this species for many months, doesn't mean that im getting it though.

YOU PERSONALLY did NOT get him to the vet, supposedly your friend did, and that's supposedly. I am not harassing you, if I were I'm trying to put some sense into you!
