I'm curious what kind of water is best for our chams.

I usually use spring water, but have read lately that distilled is better. If this is the case, it'd be great since I plan on getting a misting systrem, and distilled is much better in that regards.

I'm using tap water but a lot of people use RO-water, a RO system is easy to install on the connection of your washing machine but the more affordable systems are slow and not water efficient...
 
I think it's ok for them to drink as long as you give proper supplementation/gut loads on the feeders.
Distilled water is almost 100% H2O containing only a few leftover minerals....
So most of the bad stuff that could be in the water is taken out but the stuff that could help your animal is also filtered out.

It's definitely recommended to user Distilled/RO water if you are in an area where water quality is questionable, for example where there are a lot of farmers water sources could become contaminated by pesticides in doses not (directly) harmful to humans but in large enough doses to become a problem to smaller animals.
