Gutloading Q

Just wondering, is it safe/okay to gutload with dried fruits? From what I've read, gutloading with regular fruits that are high in water cause the crickets to have wet feces, making the bin dirty faster. Would using dried fruits still give them the vitamins, but eliminate the water issue?

Of course the crickets will still get water via sponge.

Try to get unsulfered. While most dried fruits have a small amount of sulfur dioxide, that might be a large amount to a small insects body.

Do you know of any good sources for non-sulfur dried fruits? Or is this just something I need to look at on the backs of the packages at the grocery store?
