Gullar region swollen

Ok, I have a male pygmy chameleon(spectrum).
His gullar region/throat near his front legs is swollen.
It almost looks like a sack.
He had his eyes closed too.

he is our work mascot, so i dont have a camera on me!
If you look in the images in my profile you can see him.
That is what he looks like normally.
The lump in his throat is the size of a pea.
I fed him crickets today, but I dont think anything got stuck.

Does anyone else at work feed him? If so, maybe they are oversupplementing, or giving him somthing else that could be causing edema. Or he could just be getting overweight.

No, its not an edema.
I dust with calcium like once a week, and herptivite 2x a month.
I'm the only one that feeds him.
I know he isnt getting fat.

Chams have a little sack of air under their throats. I was reading about it in the 2008 annual edition of Repitles USA magazine. I think it said that much is not known about the purpose of the sack. Maybe your cham's holding air there. ??? Just a thought.

You sure its not an early stage of edema? What is your primary gutload for your feeders? I know you are an expierenced keeper, but its awfully easy to overload em with too much vit A (carrots)
