I live right by the Great Salt Lake in Utah... Currently the mineral companies want to expand their territory.. They currently have 22 thousand acres, but want to add an additional 90 thousand in areas that will completely devastate the ecosystem here. We have MILLIONS of birds that use the lake during migration and nesting seasons.. If this passes many bird species will be in danger and will effect overall numbers of many many birds.. ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN UTAH!!! Most people around here are completely un aware of all the birds that use the lake and think its a dead sea when really its completely chuck full of life..
