Gravid colors?

Do female veiled chameleons show gravid colors when producing their infertile eggs? If so when should I expect to need a lay bin?

Yes -- they do show gravid colors even for infertile eggs. They will also flash receptive colors.

Thank you! I have another female veiled who was pregnant and showing gravid colors when I got her, but she hasn’t showed them since she left the store about a month or two ago?

Thats why its crucial to always have a suitable lay bin in females enclosures all the time, so you dont have to play the guessing game.

It is also important for the lay bun to be permanent is because some chameleons are infuriatingly grumpy when you change their environment and if it is a brand new thing when it's time for her to lay she may hate it too much to use it.
