Grasshoppers dieing

Since I feed my chams wild cought grasshoppers I tried to keep them alive and healthy as long as possible, but they keep on dieing after 3 days or so.
Did anyone have the same experience and did anyone try to breed them and raise succesfully?
I keep them in plastic containers and feed them with grasses...

I am attempting to breed Straight-lanced Meadow Katydids. As of right now I have crab grass (this is what I found most of them on) growing on the bottom of my cage and I mist them maybe every two days. I have had some last for weeks, but then I fed them off. If anyone has info on how to breed these, please let me know, anything would help.

Thanks, I searched google before posting and I am more interested to see if anyone had the same problem. It is just peculiar that they don't last more than 3 days and the wild cought field crickets can survive without problems in the same conditions...
