Yep! Sure does, lol! That's why her cage is kept downstairs! No sleeping on the sofa in my house - she barks a lot when she knows someone's there at night!

Bark!? I've seen these little beauties before and the ones i seen were tiny little things...couldn't imagine that they would be very loud!?LOL

They are quite loud, lol! Like a cross between a small dog and a squeaky toy. Makes me laugh every time I hear it. Sometimes she does it through the day while she's sleeping. Too funny! Do you know the noise that gophers make? Well they sound like that - that's the best way to describe it!

My wife had a half dozen of them when we got married.... They bred like rabbits. The time involved with them eventually became the deciding factor, and we got rid of them. They're cool for a mammal pet, but with the cuddling they need (bonding, I think is what they call it), as well as the varied diet, it got to the point that the only time we had for them was just enough time to make their daily food and clean them out every so often. We eventually traded them for a Bengal cat. Good trade, I think, for what we wanted in a pet.
