Hey guys, Had a concern about my new baby ambanja chameleon. He has been with me just over a week. He seems to be settling in to a routine. He will crawl down near the bottom of the cage at around 6pm (when the sun goes down) and puts on his "Pajamas" and sits on a baby tears leaf and sleeps while his lights are still on and I have them on a 7am-8pm cycle now.
He will stay there till morning when the lights come on and I get up. I attempt to feed him in the morning, which I hear is better for digestion. But he just stays in his pj's and ignores the food. He will stay there for a few hours (out of direct path of mister, so he doesn't get awoken) Ill usually have to manually mist around him to get him up and walking around (on weekends) at around 9-10am. He wont really eat until the evening. I would like him to eat in the mornings.
Im compensating his late dinner with more light time in evening so he can digest, but it seems like he will eat a few crickets around 5pm when I get home, then walk around a little. and before I know it he is down in the bottom sound asleep. ITs cute, but I would like to change that.
Should I just not offer food in the evenings and only in the mornings till he starts eating? HE isn't eating much as it is, So I don't want to starve him. I want him to eats lots and well, but preferably in the mornings. What can I do?
