Gift Cards to Mulberry or anywhere with Silkworms

Hey everyone my dad doesn't wanna buy from mulberry because last time we did it cost a lot. Does anyone here have anything gift cards or contest going on for some silkworms and horn worms please. My dad lost his job and we are not that high in money. So he is very careful how he uses it so please guys i need some silkworms and horn worms:(

First place in the photo contest could win you $50 worth.:) Try buying eggs and raising them up... It is a cheaper way to go, just a little more work and time involved.

that may be true since you need a pretty good chamera to win, try to find local peeps who breed them and trade with them or buy with them.......u dont need hornworms....silks and crix with a super here and there is fine for your vieled....try coastalsilkworms.com they are in florida so groung shipping will do u fine.

Find other people around you who have chameleons or maybe insect eaters and go in on an order together. Do you have a herp society in the area?
google

Or maybe check Craigslist for reptile supplies.

Maybe you can order bulk feeders and sell them to people around you so you can earn some money. Might help with expenses of keeping a chameleon.

Sounds like you're trying to keep your chameleon on a champagne diet with a malt liquor budget. Maybe its crickets and ramen until things turn around for you.

I agree with others, cricket will be totally fine for your cham as long as they are gutloaded properly.

Perhaps, you could buy dubia.

Buy couple of adult pairs (I would HONESTLY give them to you for free if I have them -but, unfortunately, I don't keep dubia anymore since none of my chams consider them as food and idk why).

Put them in a glass aquarium, keep the habitat warm and toasty, give them some veggies or even your scrap (such as apple core, etc), and wait for them to multiply like crazy.

If you time it well, you pretty much have established a constant supply of food for your chams.

Silkies and hornworms are wonderful additions, but your chameleon do not exactly need them to survive.

Another idea is to try going to clean areas (free from pesticides and all) and catch some wild grasshoppers, butterflies, etc.

Okay thanks i may be able to take some roaches if you want to send some to me. Will it be free and i will read that when i get home, im not on my computer but i guess that will help

Kind of on topic, but mostly digressing here.

If I was to send Stefan a colony of roaches, from here in LBC, CA to FL, how much do you think the shipping would be?

idk thats the thing

Well you have to put it all into perspective Stefan.

You only have to ship roaches once, as long as you can breed them. Since you'll have a constant supply, you won't have to do it again. An investment well made if you ask me.

Anyways, I would pay the shipping myself, but I am trying to make my funds count right now.

In the summer? You'd have to overnight them. Figure about 50-60$.

I really don't think summer temps could hurt a batch of Dubias... We are talking about roaches, the ultimate survivors. Over night shipping for Dubias at any time of the year would be a waste IMO. I don't even think you could kill a batch of dubias by shipping them to NY in December, those little suckers are tough.
