i know not to house them together but i got one HUGE cage and am putting a divider through the middle horizontally. Its a solid piece of wood or plastic ill use... good idea ?

If the divider is the only option....

Just make sure they cant see each other until they are ready to mate

horizontal?

i would think it would be better to use the divider vertically, if you put it horizontally how are you going to get light to the lower half and what about the contaminated drain water from above, vertical is the only way that makes any sense, then you can use the same uvb source etc? they would rather have vertical space anyway jmo

I second that...vertical is the only way to do this. Make sure you remember where the door opens! You need the divider to divide the door so you have access to both enclosures. Watch the edges because they can slip through small spaces and you don't want anyone sneaking into the other's dorm when you aren't looking.
