Thank-you very much :) you wouldnt happen to be able to tell me how old she might be would you? I'm guessing a few months. (We are new to having a chameleon, never had one before, we have so much for her though ^_^ )

She is cute.

Since this is your first chameleon and you're just finding out she's female, have you looked at female specific care (egg laying)? If you haven't it is critical that you do, this care sheet has some information near the bottom on egg laying and how to set up a laying bin, which you will eventually need to do.

Sorry unfortunately I'm horrible with guessing ages lol but here is a link to a video that talks about how to set up a laying bin, it's really informative. You can also post her picture on the identification part of the forum and senior members would be able to tell you about how old she is.

The way to tell if you have a girl or boy is by the back of the back feet. The males have a bump called a tarsal spur, the females do not. So therefore you have a female. Pet stores are notorious for seeling the wrong lighting and equipment, so please read the care sheet provided to you in the link from the other member. Also seeing that you have a female here is another link to read up on about egg laying and providing a place to lay. Females will lay infertile eggs without ever being mated like a bird. I would say she is around 4 months or so. I am not the best at guessing age and some do grow faster than others, so bear that in mind.
