Chameleons don't have the cognitive capacity to self-identify with a gender It looks like you have a female to me, but if you could post a couple more pics of your cham's tail base (at a profile angle), that would help confirm. If she is female like I suspect, then you will never know what locale she is unless you bought her from a reputable breeder who knows her lineage
Do male panther chameleons not have tarsal spurrs like veiled?Yeah, I'm still thinking female. The light colors and I can't see an obvious hemipenal bulge. Pretty little lady
Do male panther chameleons not have tarsal spurrs like veiled?
@Syreptyon said...."That is only veiled chameleons"....regarding tarsal spurs...not true...the veiled is not the only one... other species have tarsal spurs too but you're right that panther chameleons do not.
That’s pretty interesting, I didn’t know that not all species of chameleons had tarsal spurrs. There aren't too many but it isn't just veileds!
Dont some male senegal's have tarsal spurs? There aren't too many but it isn't just veileds!
Yeah, I forgot whether it was Senegal's or Flapneck's. Thanks!I've never seen a Senegal with spurs but some flap necks have them.
