Hey, I just bought a new Panther Chameleon (Juvenile),
and I forgot to ask what gender it is at the store.

Would be greatly appreciated if someone can tell me how to tell.
Thanks!

Adrian

Pictures would be best. Generally, males have a lot of bright colors. If it is a juvenile, it may be a little harder to tell as males tend to color up as juveniles.

Okay, I will post pictures tonight or tomorrow,

From what I can tell the only colors right now are brown spots on his spine area,
everywhere else hes light brown/greenish

Thanks a lot, Lancecham

I good profile from the side photo is best. What you want is the underside of the tail around the vent area to be very visible. Panthers can be sexed based on the shape of their tails fresh out of the egg. (excepting of course "she-beasts"):D

Do you know his hatch date to determine his age?

Males have a bulge at the start of the tail... its where his 'package' is. Females will not have this. It is hard to see on a young panther if you don't have something to compare it to.
