Years ago, the local reptile store that I deal with had 3-4 glass-bottom enclosures that he wanted to use for chameleons. We decided to bust out the glass and drop in a PVC sheet drilled with a few drain holes in its place. It actually turned out pretty good. Another choice is to get a new enclosure that already has the PVC bottom

That old water can be full of nasty things (parasites, bacteria etc.) so you want have that bottom dry-out between mistings.
