Ok since i don't have a mist king and i am a stay at home housewife/mom 24/7, I usually just hand mist Randall (Male Veiled) for 3-5 minutes 3-4 times daily. well i was thinking of going to Lowes or Home Depot and buying a round up 1 gallon deluxe sprayer. this is the description: 1-Gallon Deluxe Sprayer

Easy one - step assembly.
Deluxe shut-off with lock
Three nozzle system for precision application of chemicals:(brass adjustable,low-volume and high volume flat fans)
High efficiancy pump ( takes fewer strokes to pressurize)

Has anyone used a Deluxe sprayer before and if you did what do you think of that compared to a small hand held sprayer?

I use something very similar. Nice and effective way to spray down your chams.

I've used the one gallon sprayers. They spray just as good as the handheld versions. I would definitely ensure the sprayer is completely clean before use. Check to make sure someone didn't use it and return it. Definitely wouldn't want to spray some horrible chemical on your cham.

In the future I would definitely consider an automated sprayer/mister like Mistking. Then you don't have to worry about your Cham or find a sitter if you wanted to go on a day trip or overnight vacation.

Good luck.

I would get a mistking but i live in a 2 bedroom apartment and it's small, very small and i would have no room for the mistking and i have to be really careful for over spray, or draining problems, by me doing it by hand i have control of where the water goes and i can watch the water closely. I will buy the sprayer new and will make sure no chemicals were in it (smell test) lol

Mine is a 1.0 liter spray bottle. I'm not sure but I would say go with it. Just make sure it mists very well and your plants get water so your chameleon could drink out of them and stay hydrated.

he has a dripper also, i have no problems with hydration :) If you go to my name i have an album with his pictures in it :)

A one or even 2 gallon pump sprayer will work fantastic,do clean it well and after every use let off the pressure or it will not last very long

That's the exact sprayer that I use. My cham LOVES it. He gets a 15-20 minute warm shower every morning with it and then gets misted throughout the day with his MistKing.

I use a 1.5 liter and LOVE it.I did the regular spray bottles but after so much use something on it would break.I have 2 monsoon's which one is still brand new in the box,and it works great too but unhooked it cause I like the hand pump sprayer much better

The main difference will be not having to squeeze that sprayer trigger manually multiple times a day every day. Do remember to release the pressure after you use it or it won't last as long. For one cham you don't necessarily need an auto mister unless you travel. Doing it yourself is a nice excuse to spend time watching your cham anyway. You could also teach your cham to drink directly from the nozzle or a syringe too.
