There are two kinds that are common to baby chameleons. Hydei and Melanogaster. I believe the more common of the two would be the hydei due to the size. Generally these flies are flightless but they are VERY fast and are capable of climbing any surface.

I would get any. My baby loves them. Put a piece of banana in a milk top and that will keep SOME of them in the viv. In uk we can get curly wing flies that are supposed to be flightless. They are not. Hubby and I sit with fly swat each while we watch tv.
