is it as simple as just letting your flour get old ( wont be hard here- I DON'T BAKE - Betty Crocker and I are not friends :p ) my flour is already about a yr old - but it is clean - how do you get " dirty" flour ?? or is there another small moth that can be raised ?

Thanks :)

Cheryl,

Leaving the food source open may attract flour moths, or your local feed store probably has them, see if you can place an open container in the back room, that should do the trick.

I personally like the larger size of wax worm moths, and they are easy to culture.

I have some cultures with 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch wax worms now for $5.00.:D

I will PM you- I have eggs that are hatching soon :)

be very careful with flour moths(don't know there official name)
if they get loose in your house you will have a hell of a time getting rid of them.It took me over a year to get them totally gone.

lol - I have some type of moth now- but I know not from my flour - like a tiny miller ?
but only find 1/2 a day - but yes, would not want an un-controlled "flock " - my poor husband puts up with enough already :p
