Fixing cage door latch

I have two of these cages http://www.diycages.com/15201/15922.html. Both of the door latches broke off. Is there some way I can fix it or should I just buy another one?

I don't know what those latches are made out of but we keep hearing the same complaint. I don't have one of the cages here so I can't examine it closely but is there a way to remove the latch easily? If you can, maybe you could just buy a latch from the hardware store and install it. I used to install a similar looking latch on my outdoor wooden cages. I think they were brass though.

For whatever it's worth, they are cool looking latches.

Yes I can take the latch off the cage easily. I'll go see what latches at home depot I can find. Thanks!

Did you contact them and if so did they offer to do anything? Mine did the same thing recently...
