fischer's diet/color?

so i think i may have asked this before, but how much should a fischer's chameleon eat every day? i'm gonna say he is full grown even though i was told he is a juvenile, as he is over a foot from head to tip of tail, and he eats only 1 or 2 crickets at a time, usually about 2-3 a day max. could be that i have only had him about a week and a half?

also, what colors can i expect from him? i had a veiled before and he was quite good at being green/yellow/grey/black, but this guy can do all those but also red/orange/purple/pinkish. it's fairly cool i think, as i was not expecting him to have such color variations. is that normal in this species?

Ive never heard of a red/orange/purple/pinkish fischer's before i thought they were mostly green maybe some yellow

Hmm, those attributes are more typical of Kinyongia tavetanume (spelling?). However, I have seen light brown Kinyongia multituberculata in the past.

As for feeding, I think 2-3 per day is fairly normal. Montane chameleons, in my limited experience, don't require as much food as a, say, Panther chameleon. Montanes are also susceptible to overfeeding - so be sure not to feed him too much!

he doesn't turn the purple colour all over. it is a purpleish pink kindof wine type color that his white spots can turn. the red was on his stomach and gullet(the bit under his mouth) when he was looking at himself in the mirror. he puffed up and his belly/gullet were red, then there was orange and the rest was yellow. normally he is 2 shades of green (light in front, darker in back) with his white/greyish spots/patterns on his sides. though lately, and even right now when he is sleeping, his white bits are kindof dark pinkish with purple outlines. the colors are by no means vibrantly vivid, but it is notticeable

That sounds pretty normal to me. I tend to feed irregularly. Every other day for a bit, then two days in a row, then every other day, then two days off...He's about that size. I usually give 4 or 5 big crickets at a time, which is about equal to what you're feeding.

Can you post pics featuring your cham and some object for scale? Is a foot long just an estimation?

Yeah, let's see some photos of this cham. Like Luis said, if you've got an arm, hand, ruler, or something common...it helps us all judge the size quite a bit.
