First time shedding

Happy to say that I woke up this morning to find out my little dude is shedding! And it looks like he’s doing it in a way that would suit any reptile. Granted I did believe something was massively wrong when I saw him that pale this morning when I was still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. But it’s all good and i’m Actually pretty stoked about it and what a good feeling it is to see the little guy shedding. It felt like Christmas, going from constantly worrying about his husbandry, constantly thinking something is wrong or always adjusting things to now knowing that I have a set up worthy for him to grow in. Obviously he’s

It scared the hell out of me when I first saw it to be honest, I noticed a small white patch on his crest that night before and didn’t think anything about it. Next morning BAM! Dude was covered like a mummy and I thought I had a dying Cham on my hands lol it’s pretty awesome though. That’s the most efficient shed i’ve seen out of all of my other reptiles.

They look like snowflakes when they shed, my geckos usually peel it off differently, it is not as "crumbly" like a chameleon shed.

Yeah my crested gecko usually sheds little by little and she eats her shed. My Kingsnake does his own thing pretty quickly but this chameleon is next level on the coolness factor. Gives me a nice feeling lol
