My veiled is about 4 months old now. He is having his first shed (with me). Any tips?

Okay. Right now he just has a little bit around his nostrils and front two legs shedding. Normal?

Yeah, nostrils and legs as well as tail are where you'll first notice it. Different every time. Mine shed one back foot and left it for a day once.......

He hasn't even started shedding his stomach area. Is that bad? It's been a couple hours and he just has some skin left on his legs and face.

Not at all. it can take them several hours to get started, but once they do, they explode. Just keep his mistings up, and give it a few days. if he still hasnmt fully shed, then try a shower.

My tip is to stop worrying so much :) but you'll get used to it - just enjoy the fun!

I was wondering the same thing when my female veiled shed the first time after I got her. Last night before her lights shut off I noticed a few small white spots and knew she was about the shed again. Then this was her this morning when I woke up. She is a little over 3 months old and growing fast.

So sweet! I remember when mine was like that :) mine have both slowed down a fair bit with shedding recently, but not had any problems yet....
They do generally shed faster when younger, but some sheds just take longer than others no matter how much misting you do it seems.....

Do I have to help him peel it off around his eyes? Or will it come off by itself?

That's how I am my little guy is almost three months old and he started shedding a week ago but his nose is still shedding but I've had multiple people tell me to stop worrying... I just give him warm baths for now but the guy said it might not come off til the next shed :( it sucks bc his nose looks ugly haha.... Hopefully comes off soon....

Yeah, it doesn't look as perfect as they can and it's annoying (but not so much to the Cham!). my male takes ages to shed his casque sometimes......I want to pick it, but that would be worse than ignoring it in 99% of cases.......looking closely and worrying is what we keep them for I think :D
Don't bother with baths unless it looks like it's really bothering him, unless he just likes the baths - a proper mist shower is equally good.
