I wasn't going to get a panther till christmas but yesterday on Craigslist about 1 hour away for a steal $180 with 2 year old nosy be, 24x24x48, hubba mister, lights, and lots of vines. So this morning I went and got him!! I will try to post pics later....

How good of a deal do you think I got?
And I am looking for a live plant Whats your favorite plant?
Anyone selling starter colonys of dubia roaches?

Can't wait for pics! Sounds like you got an awesome deal :D

If i were you i'd schedule a vet appointment with a good herp vet in your area ASAP. Also be sure to get a fecal test, so once your cham poops, pick it up and put it in a zip lock bag and place it in the refrigerator. Then call your local herp vet office and schedule a check up/exam + fecal test. Be sure the poop isn't older than 24 hours so it remains fresh. A fecal test will determine if your cham has parasites or not. Some parasites are deadly so it's best to get a check up atleast 2x a year...

You never know, he could of sold you a old sick chameleon that looks perfectly healthy...Chams like to hide those sort of things from us :)

Plants i go for are Ficus Benjamin, Hanging Pothos, and Umbrella Plants. Usually these are hard to keep unless you're cham is outside in the natural sunlight. But majority of us keep our chams housed inside. You might want to invest into a grow light. You can get a double bulb hood to house your UVB bulb/6500k grow light. My plants are still alive and kickin...

Congrats! He's a nice looking boy. Don't forget you need to change the UVB light every 6 months and since he came from Craigslist it would probably be a good idea to get a new one now. You received some good advise from GabeCastro above. I see you have been a member for awhile but if you'd like to brush up on your husbandry I have a blog for new keepers that tells about what all you need to get going and keep him healthy and happy. I'll attach it below if you'd like to check it out.

I must agree with everyone else... that is a steal and I'd have jumped on that as well! You have a beautiful boy there.

Good new....

I got news from my dad since I am in florida

He's drinking and ate 5 large crickets tonight

And if anyone has dubia starter colonys hit me up please

That is a nice boy you have, good color. It also sounds like he is doing well eating and drinking.

Check our classified in the food section to see who has Dubia for sale. Just checked, lots of people selling dubia in the classified, you are good to go.
