Finally!

I am the ultimate sucker! I could not give up on the baby. I know Xanthoman is correct but I just don't have it in me to give up on these little creatures. I have taken in 4 tiny ones from various forum members that just did not seem to grow. NONE were young, they were all at least 4 months but needed special care. All are doing just fine. I should post pictures of Smidg now. You would never know she didn't grow just like every other cham. She went from 5 grams to her beautiful self. She is full grown and just a tiny bit overweight, Momma loves her.:)

What species?

difference between negative and reality

if you have seen it drink, but not eat, then it would probably be a good idea to have a dental syringe with some bug water in it, at the ready, if you notice it drinking, you may have an opportunty to get it to drink a drop of bug water off of the end of the syringe, (trying to squirt it in, is not advised, and would likely cause it to aspirate water (drown)/ dont get me wrong, there is a difference between being negative, and being realistic. if you decide to try and keep it alive, i will understand, and help in any way i can, but it can be a huge let down to lose one of these guys after an extraordinary effort to keep it alive, so have realistic expectations. the reality is, that if it is not likely to survive, then an extraordinary effort to keep it that way, will only prolong the ordeal for both of you. what ever choice you make, you will be the one to spend time baby sitting it, and if it dies, you will be the one to have to deal with the emotional consequenses of it, so nobody has the right to judge you on the choice that you make. if you decide to keep it alive, i wish you the best and i will help if i am able, if you decide to let it pass, i think most members will understand, and be sorry for your loss. somehow the last one to die from a failed clutch is always an added dissapointment. jmo

The X man above speaks wise words but I"ll keep it simple...
Just tell the little bugger to behave. Maybe he will eat and drink then.
That's what Laurie does..at least I get a laugh out of it.

Harry

Oh, and good luck.

Well. The neonate is still going at it! He is a tough little guy! He has been eating everyday, as well as drinks. I hope he lives!
