Finally feeling comfy

Well, I've spent a lot of time researching and spent a fair bit of money since buying Neelix (Unfortunately, I made the bad mistake of buying before researching) & I finally feel comfortable that I can look after him well. I will always be an over-protective parent though- today, he spent half an hour sat with his mouth open & I was convinced I'd killed him with an oversized locust lol, or that his basking temp was too high (tho, if it were too hot, would he not move to the cooler side of the cage?)
Of course, I'm not gonna be complacent & I'll always look out for problems, & there's plenty of room for improvement for when he's a big boy- an adult cage, a misting machine for when I'm out, a ceramic heater for the winter nights, a drainage system etc, but I'm finally starting to enjoy him rather than worry about him constantly.
He also seems to be enjoying exploring, today I put him on a roll of kitchen paper whilst I was cleaning his cage & when I turned round he was climbing up the side of a jug of water-he'd scampered across the floor. They're like toddlers, turn for your back for 5 seconds...I'll be glad when he's bigger and a little less fragile!
Loving my little guy! :D

It does sound like you and your toddler are doing well together. But I have to tell you like any other kid, you will never stop worrying, just goes with the job. Just enjoy.
