Filtering kettle - water usage for misting?

Hi guys, I was just wondering, does anyone use water from home filtering kettle for misting? I have plenty of orchids and tillandsias in my enclosure and really har d tap water. Does the water make any reasonable difference to be used? I really cant allow to buy RO system.

The hard water will eventually clog the nozzles and I'm not certain the usual counter top water filter kettles remove much of the mineral content. You would have to check the filter itself to see what it can remove. If you rinse the misting system with vinegar periodically this will help.

RO filtered water is great for misting systems. Sometimes you can buy RO water from aquarium supply stores or grocery stores.

You could use distilled water or use water conditioner?
