Fertilizer

What fertilizer can I use for my umbrella plant

It may depend on how old your potting soil is. Ask a plant nursery for a recommendation for a general purpose dilutible liquid plant food. Don't over feed it, as this will make the plant grow too tall and spindly. Don't use a pelleted food to avoid attracting your cham's curiosity. Sometimes they do shoot at objects on the surface of the soil.

I'd recommend a liquid organic based off of bat guano, worm castings, or seaweed. Dilute according to directions and add to the substrate after the lights go off.

I always err on the side of caution and dilute mine more than the recommendation listed on the bottle. You can't hurt a plane by under supplementing, but you can by over supplementing.

I use the scrapings from the bottom of my cricket and roach enclosure (cricket and roach waste). The waste is a great fertilizer and safe for the chameleon. Apply it lightly since it can be fairly concentrated. If you add too much, it can smell bad but usually in the open, it doesn't smell at all.

The other good thing about using the insect excrement is that after feeding them vegetables, fruit, etc.; you will have a very rich fertilizer for plants. I use it for all of my plants and put it out in my garden as well. I got the idea for it from the worm farm I worked at way back when I was in school.

how about Miracle-Gro All Purpose Concentrated Liquid

I've never used it, but would suggest that you are not trying to get your plants to grow a lot (unless they are too small now), just to maintain them. That stuff might be too much unless you really dilute it. Also use something that is formulated for indoor houseplants, not garden plants.

I did read on another post about the feeder poop. yes I just want to feed my umbrella plant because I have it in a 50/50 mix of organic soil and sand

I wouldn't use miracle gro or any commercial made product. Use worm castings.... Or if you have a fish tank, use the water from it whenever you clean the tank.
As a kid, we made a huge pond in our backyard, consisting of minnows and a few catfish. We would get the fish poo sludge out of the pond and put it on our tomato plants, and they grew like CRAZYYYYYY!

If you an remember what post that was, I would be interested in reading it. I tried searching but didn't find what I was looking for.

I no longer have testing equipment so all I can test for is the general NPK contents as well as a couple of other minor parameters for the different poop fertilizers but I would like to know if someone else has information on it to develop a ratio chart for applying to house plants. If not, maybe we can make a crude chart to compare it to regular fertilizers and analyze the benefits vs. the cost. It's something I would be very interested in developing.

no I went to so many I do not remember but I did do a search on cricket poop fertilizer and some stuff did pop up

I think I might try some cricket poo from my crickets it should be enough I only have one plant
