Female Veil not feeling well HELP!?

Poor baby girl. How she's feeling better since the vet visit. It will take a while to get her better though. Please update what the vet said and treatment please. Best of luck.
Pascal vet visit
VET:
- She does not have MBD, Vet Xray'd her and she is EGG bound. Her weight is perfect, very healthy. She was prescribed a higher dose of calcium and something else to help the clutch come out. I will be picking up her meds tomorrow. I was also told to put her in her laying bin to encourage laying. Also, was given a syringe to force feed and give water.
THe vet also noticed her color not changing at all.Still a pretty blue green color.
OVerall, the vet said surgery was not an option for such a small reptile. She would try everything she can to help Pascal along. I am to take her back if she has not laid her clutch in a week

your vet is inexperienced, clearly, as surgery related to eggs is very much an option (with the correct vet) for chameleon sized animals.
can you post your x-ray photos here? that may help some of the vets on this forum and those who have considerable experience provide more insight.

I agree, that vet doesn't sound like the best. Surgery on egg bound chameleons is very common. At least she is getting calcium injections though. Let us know if she lays tomorrow.

She's not digging just sitting awkwardly.
Her leg muscles arent strong right now hoping the injections help with that.

I would stay away from that vet.. they clearly know very little.

sorry to say but i agree that your vet needs to take another look at the x-rays and look at the bone density. if you want to see for yourself why we are questioning your vet's opinion, check out some of the threads by CaptainMorgantown about his little girl, Jojo. I think you will see the similarities for yourself.
So glad you did take her and get her the meds she needs. the calcium shots are gonna make a world of difference for your girl.

We don't mean inexperienced in general, but the vet is clearly inexperienced with chameleons.
I'm not sure if you completely realize the seriousness of the situation. Your chameleon might not die tomorrow or even this month, but the illness that she has is causing her immense pain. Her legs are either already broken or they are in the process of breaking. She will not be able to dig, and if she tries, don't let her. Dig her a hole at an angle and set her in it and see if she uses it. If she doesn't lay soon, being egg bound will kill her before the MBD ever does, and dying from that is very painful in itself for them. She is probably in added pain or discomfort from being egg bound.
I know you want to do what is best or else you wouldn't have taken her in to see a vet, but either way, please trust us a little more on this. I have only taken care of a chameleon for a year, but some of these people have been at it for a long time.
As I mentioned before, my chameleon had MBD from her previous owner. She cannot close her mouth because her jaw is bowed down, one of her back legs is in the shape of a 'S', her two front legs are bowed out and double jointed, and she has lost the ability to use her tongue completely so that I have to hand feed her every night. MBD just doesn't go away, and it just doesn't happen suddenly. It is going to take her a while before you start seeing improvements, so the sooner you make the necessary changes the better.
Please look back to the first page at the list of corrections that were given to you to make. Some of them, like the supplement issue, contributed to her current condition.
I know a lot of this was blunt, but you have to understand, not only am I biased, but I hate hearing about animals in pain. I don't think that you are a bad owner at all, on the contrary, but a few changes needed to be made in your husbandry to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
And, correct me if I'm wrong someone, but I think that chameleons don't eat very much right before they are about to lay. She probably doesn't care about food at all at this point.

I'm going to second sandra's suggestion you post the x-rays. They belong to you! In this day and age they are probably electronic files so they should be able to provide them and you should be able to attach them.
Not only are there multiple vets experienced with chameleons on this board, but there are keepers who have been through everything you are going through and who know what MBD looks like in an x-ray.
I have to agree that your vet seems to be missing something because that one front leg looks obviously broken and barring a known event, that's suggestive of MBD.

PAscal Update:
Pascal is doing blah..
She really doesnt feel good.
I dug a lil hole for her to lay in and shes stayed in there. I am giving her calcium twice daily. She fights me on the syringe and im trying not to stress her out but i need to give her her meds.
-12ml of calcium gluconate.
-.5 water right after
Her limbs look better shes actually making effort to move around shes clamping alot harder than before too..
we're just worried.
