He usually waits but there has been cases to where he likes to listen to the female when she’s ready , he’s only done one in the past that was 10 months and had success with her but that was years agoDoes the breeder usually try to have all his females lay an infertile clutch before breeding them?
The main reason why I’m asking for a second source of advice is because there is 2 breeders in keeping anonymous that are local to me that they will sometimes breed the female on her first clutch as they don’t want the eggs to be infertile if they already going threw that might as well make it fertileDoes the breeder usually try to have all his females lay an infertile clutch before breeding them?
Gotcha sounds good that’s what I though , I’m gonna wait on breeding them as I’m just tryna get good info as there has been a lot of mixed information it’s hard to believe people nowadays that’s why I’m getting info on different sourcesAlso...don't know if you know this or not, but if you mate her she will likely lay more than one fertile clutch.
Also...the diet of 4 or 5 crickets every 2 or 3 days and basking temperature of 89F will help prevent her from laying big clutches and suffering from reproductive issues during times when she isn't bred.
