This is a new chameleon addition. she has been in my posesion for 3 days. She'seating butitseems uncomfortable. I don't see any discharge or mucus. She' not bubbling from the mouth, nothing that leads me to believe it's uri, respiratory infection. Her mouth didn't close normally and her lip sticks out. any input is greatly appreciated.

Ican't post pics from my phone I tried uploading but I can't get to my gallery. I have the pics but my laptop crashed. don't know what to do to.post.

I had a female panther come in the mail with a "pouty" lip that was swollen. I used a Q-Tip and placed a small bit of Neosporin on it twice a day for a couple of days and it went right down. If you are able to post pics that would help - best of luck with her! :D

The possible mouth rot went away. Then it came back. Not sure what it is

It does not look like typical mouth rot like I have seen on here. I don't think that is what it is. Have you checked the inside of her mouth and see what it looks like? I also don't think if it were mouth rot and could come and go like that.

Any chance her food is biting back? Would a cricket bite or something on the inside of her mouth cause swelling?

What does the inside of her mouth look like? Can you post some photos? They usually open their mouth if you gently hold them right behind their head (like their shoulder area.) It could be mouth rot that isnt showing on the outside, something that is irritating her lip, a wound, or it could be from an old wound/infection that healed/went away and left her lip looking a little funky (though I doubt it if it went away and then came back.)
