Female Egg Laying...

I am getting a chameleon, after quarantine, and i wanted to get a female. And since they act a little different than males, how do they act before, during, and after they lay eggs.

"Before" you'll have whatever personality your chameleon has. If you get a veiled, they will show "receptive" colors before producing eggs. Before she lays my girl paces her enclosure for a couple days, stops eating, and then starts digging. During this time I give her as much privacy as possible. After, she comes up skinnier and hungry and thirsty and then goes back to being her normal self.

If you get a female veiled or Panther chameleon you will have to deal with egg laying issues more than likely. They lay eggs without having been mated and require special care to prevent reproductive issues.
