Female dropping eggs when she poops

This is now the 2nd egg I've found that me female Nosy Be has dropped when she doing her business. Anyone ever have this happen? They both are yellow right out the chute but she was bred in September so I'm hoping they all aren't infertile.

Really that's weird! But I think she should be past ready to lay her eggs! Do you have a laying bin inside her enclosure?

She always has a bin inside with her. She's been pacing like she will lay for the past 3 days but hasn't done anything yet. I've never seen just random eggs drop like that.

The female is ready to lay or will be in a day or so. Make sure the laying bin is avail to her. You may want to cover the cage for privacy so she'll go ahead and goto the bin.

Its just puzzling that these eggs are yellow. Would a dose of liquid calcium help her at all to move things along? I heard that could help.

IMO and what Ive learned!! Calcium is always a plus! Good luck and keep us updated on any changes!

A drop of liquid calcium wouldnt hurt. But to be honest I try to leave them alone as much as possible when i see them start to pace the cage. I usually cover them up and cut a peep hole to keep an eye on them.

If she wont lay and she keeps dropping eggs. I'd go get an x-ray to make sure she drops all of them and doesnt retain any. If she does retain some then she can get a shot of oxy and she should drop the remainder, thats when i'd get the oral calcium. Just dont wait til she gets too weak to take her in. If you see her eyes start to sink in or her grip weakens at all I'd head straight to the vet and get those eggs out.

Ive experienced this once with a wc female. I was lucky she dropped all of them. She was bred also just like your girl. I tried incubating the eggs and all of them were duds except one. We'll see if the one egg hatches or if it spoils like the rest. My girl bounced back but I havent tried to breed her again since she did that.

Just gave her some calcium orally and covered her up. I won't check her until lights out to see if she did anything. Thanks again everyone! BTW how are your Faly babies TPM?

Well, Ive sold out all of my first clutch except one big fat female. Ive got the next two clutches partially sold. They are all growing and getting fatter by the day. I/Killer Chameleons will be vending our next show on Dec 10 & 11th at HARKA here in Houston. Im hoping that everyone left over will be big enough to go to their forever homes by then. Thanks for asking.:D

She did it again!!! Now i have found a total of 3 eggs randomly in her cage. I don't think she is egg bound since is passing these but she doesn't seem apt to go into her laying bin.

I have had a female drop several eggs before eventually digging and laying the rest of the clutch. All the dropped eggs where yellow and small and soft.

I am not sure why it happened but she did the same thing for at least 4 more clutches. The eggs she laid in the traditional way did end up hatching .

same thing. small and yellow for the first 3. hopefully she digs soon!

If she wont go to a bin. You may have to try a trash can. I've used both methods. The wc females seem to like the trash can in my exp with them.

I'm going to set that up tonight and put her in it in the AM for the day to see what happens. How big of a can do you use?
